⦁ प्रकाश का परावर्तन-
जब प्रकाश किसी माध्यम सतह से टकराकर पुनः उसी माध्यम में लौट जाता है ,जिस माध्यम से वह आपतित हुआ तो इसे ही प्रकाश का परावर्तन कहते है ।
⦁ परावर्तन के नियम-
1. आपतन कोण (कोण i ) व परावर्तन कोण (कोण r ) बराबर होते है ।
2. आपतित किरण , परावर्तित किरण व आपतन बिंदू पर खींचा गया लंब ,तीनों एक ही तल में होते है ।
⦁ गोलीय दर्पण-
ऐसे दर्पण जिनका परावर्तक पृष्ठ गोलीय होता है , उन्हें गोलीय दर्पण कहते है । ये दो प्रकार के होते है –
1. अवत्तल दर्पण-
अवत्तल दर्पण वह दर्पण होता है जिसमें गोले की अंदर की ओर का का तल परावर्तक होता है और बाहरी तल पर पॉलिस होती है ।
अथवा
वह गोलीय दर्पण जिसका परावर्तक पृष्ठ अन्दर की ओर वक्रित होता है , अवत्तल दर्पण कहलाता है ।
2. उत्तल दर्पण-
उत्तल दर्पण वह दर्पण होता है जिसमें गोले की बाहर की ओर का तल परावर्तक होता है और अन्दर के तल पर पॉलिस होती है ।
अथवा
वह गोलीय दर्पण जिसका परावर्तक पृष्ठ बाहर की ओर वक्रित होता है , उत्तल दर्पण कहलाता है ।
⦁ गोलीय दर्पण से संबंधित कुछ परिभाषाऐं-
1. ध्रुव(P)- दर्पण के परावर्तक तल के मध्य बिन्दू को ध्रुव कहते है ।
2. द्वारक- दर्पण के परावर्तक तल का व्यास द्वारक कहलाता है ।
3. वक्रता केन्द्र(C) – गोलीय दर्पण जिस गोले से काटकर कर बनाया जाता है , उसके केन्द्र को दर्पण का वक्रता केन्द्र कहते है ।
4. मुख्य अक्ष – दर्पण के ध्रुव तथा वक्रता केन्द्र को मिलाने वाली रेखा को दर्पण की मुख्य अक्ष कहते है ।
5. वक्रता त्रिज्या(R) – गोलीय दर्पण के ध्रुव तथा वक्रता केन्द्र के मध्य की दूरी को वक्रता त्रिज्या कहते है ।
6. फोकस या फोकस बिन्दू(F)-
मुखय अक्ष के समान्तर चलने वाली किरणें दर्पण से परावर्तन के पश्चात मुख्य अक्ष के जिस बिन्दू पर मिलती है (अवत्तल दर्पण) अथवा मिलती हुई प्रतीत होती है (उत्तल दर्पण) , उस बिन्दू को दर्पण का फोकस या फोकस बिन्दू कहते है ।
अवत्तल दर्पण का फोकस वास्तविक व दर्पण के सामने होता है तथा उत्तल दर्पण का फोकस आभासी व दर्पण के पीछे होता है ।
7. फोकस दूरी(f)- वक्रता त्रिज्या की आधी दूरी , फोकस दूरी कहलाती है ।
सूत्र-
⦁ गोलीय दर्पण से बनने वाले प्रतिबिंबों के चित्र खिंचने के नियम या प्रतिबिंबों का निरूपण-
कम से कम दो परावर्तित किरणों के प्रतिच्छेदन से किसी बिंब(वस्तु) के प्रतिबिंब की स्थिति ज्ञात की जा सकती है ।
प्रतिबिंब को प्राप्त करने के लिए कुछ नियम होते है जो निम्नलिखित होते है –
1. जो किरणें परावर्तन के पहले मुख्य अक्ष के समान्तर होती है । वह परावर्तन के पश्चात फोकस से वास्तव में गुजरती है अथवा गुजरती हुई प्रतीत होती है ।
2. जो किरणें परावर्तन से पहले फोकस से गुजरती है अथवा गुजरती हुई प्रतीत होती है , वह परावर्तन के पश्चात मुख्य अक्ष के समान्तर हो जाती है ।
3. जो किरणें परावर्तन से पहले वक्रता केन्द्र से गुजरती है अथवा गुजरती हुई प्रतीत होती है , वह परावर्तन के पश्चात ठीक उसी मार्ग में लौट जाती है ।
4. जो किरण दर्पण के ध्रुव पर टकराती है , वह परावर्तन के नियमानुसार मुख्य अक्ष से समान कोण बनाती हुई परावर्तित होती है ।
